I really love weddings! If I had to choose a different career I’d love to be a wedding planner
Having been a bride I know that what you need is someone capable, confident, discreet and enthusiastic
Your wedding should reflect your personalities and this should come through in the images
We need to get to know each other before the day for me to take the best shots of you and the people you love
The photographer at my wedding boosted my confidence all day by telling me how to stand: “Shoulders back, chin raised, hip towards David!”  It made such a difference to the final images
My background in project management has given me the experience to know when to be in control and when to be in the background

So how does it work?

We need to get to know one another.

The first thing to do is to meet up for a chat and a coffee.  I love to do this at your wedding venue so you can show me why you chose it and what’s most important to you for your pictures.

I’ll have lots of questions for you about your wedding, but also about you: how you met, what you do and what you love about each other.  I’ll bring lots of images with me and you can tell me which ones you like and why.  Let’s face it, I’ll probably bring my camera too and it’s more than likely that we’ll get a few shots in while we’re there!

I also like to make sure we have had a pre-wedding shoot.  You choose a place that’s important to you and says something about your relationship, I bring my camera and we have some fun.  These images are usually some of my favourites - I carry a photo of me and David taken at our pre-wedding shoot in my wallet.  It’s a special time.  There’s a serious point to all this too - everyone has an angle that suits them.  By taking your picture and studying the images afterwards it will help me get the best shots of you on your wedding day.

What happens on the day itself depends on what most suits you and your wedding.  Some brides want every second of the day recorded in their album, some can’t think of anything worse than having a photographer there to shoot them getting ready!  No two couples are the same so my rates are flexible to fit in around you, your requirements and your budget.

Wedding packages

I’m all about flexibility.  Most wedding packages look pretty similar, so I like to be adaptable with the details - your wedding will not be the same as anyone else’s!  I will give you an individual price, depending on what you want.

My most popular package covers:
  • At least one consultation and planning meeting - usually at your wedding venue
  • Pre wedding shoot at a venue of your choice, which usually results in c20 digital photographs for you to keep
  • c 5 hoursCoverage on the day to suit your timetable and preference
  • c400 high resolution, fully edited digital images
  • Shared copyright of all your images so you and your guests can print copies or use them how you wish
  • Online gallery with password for you to view and share your images
Shorter weddings or more limited coverage are also available and depending on your requirements can be as little as £600.

One thing I guarantee is that I will not compromise on the quality of the images.  If you are on a tight budget then it doesn’t mean that you can’t have fabulous pictures, we just need to work together to establish exactly what your priorities are so that we can get there in a shorter time.

Please feel free to give me a call to talk about your requirements - I can usually find a way to get you what you want within your budget by being a bit creative...
Discounts are usually available for mid-week or late bookings
